TOKYO (AP) - Today I would like to announce what may of you may already know, Manager Eric 'Cap' Karros has been reassigned within the Tokyo Tsunamis organization as of one week ago.

In the interim Yogi Berra has been helming the team. I have had the utmost confidence in Yogi, howerver he has expressed to me his wish to return to playing full time.

So without further ado I introduce to you the new manager of the Tokyo Tsunamis, Weaverball legend, and the greatest hitter to ever live, Sendai Ashikaga.

The former Los Angeles Riots hero has signed a 10 year deal with the club, and will have duties as manager and player personel director, reporting directly with me.

He will also coordinate his actions 'Cap' who is now our VP for baseball operations.

'Cap' and I had discussed his departure as manager several times this season, as he felt he had done all he could do with the team as manager.

We have disagreed on several things from a managing standpoint, but I must stress, 'Cap' was not fired, this decision was reached mutually.

Speaking about his hire as the new manager of the up and comming Tokyo franchise Sendai said, "It is an honor to return home and have the chance to teach a team to win."

"I have won my entire life in baseball and that will not change here in Tokyo."

"We will be a team that works hard and displays great discipline and skill."

Ashikaga will assume duties as manager immediately.
