Chernobyl Mutants
Franchise Timeline
April
7, 1997:
First game in franchise history.
January
1, 1999:
After just two seasons, the Tokyo
Monsters are moved to Hiroshima. In a moment of
politically incorrect genius, they are renamed the H-Bombs.
November
3, 1999:
Cloyd Brouthers is named Inferno League Rookie of the
Year.
January
1, 2000:
Management cannot figure out why the people of Hiroshima
don't want to root for a team named after atomic weapons.
They reach an agreement to move the team back to Tokyo
and rename the team the Terrorists.
January
1, 2001:
Low attendance plagues the team once again. Management
can't comprehend why the citizens of a city whose subway
system was the target of a sarin gas attack a few years
earlier will not rally around their Terrorists. Deal
is struck to relocate the team to the Ukraine and rename
them the Chernobyl Mutants.
2020
Playoffs: In the franchise's twentieth season in
Chernobyl the team finally wins it's first Polanski
Division title. In the ILCS they bolt out of the gate
to take a three games to none lead over the New
York Nukes, but they can't put the final nail in
the coffin as the Nukes storm back to win in seven games.
November
6, 2020: Buddy Tyler is named MVP of the Inferno
League.
