DETROIT (AP) - With new GM Cory Muzyka taking over the helm, and new ownership taking over the team, is the future of the Motown Miracles elsewhere? Lots of rumours have been swirling that the new owners are looking for a new city to play in, and the prime destination seems to be Vancouver.

"I'm not saying anything at this point", said GM Muzyka. "I will say that we are in negotiations with the city of Detroit to get them to build us a new stadium with public funds. The problem lies in the fact that the franchise moved here in 97 and has yet to produce anything close to a winning season. Attendance is dropping, the team has never won more than 73 games, and I have a big rebuilding job ahead of me."

"How many Miracles fans are going to stick out yet another rebuilding phase? Not many. So yes, I am exploring our options."

The #1 destination for the Motown franchise seems to be Vancouver.

"Vancouver's a great city, I already own a home there. They are in the process of building a wonderful new ballpark to attract a Weaverball team, and we are certainly interested. We will continue negotiations with the city of Detroit, and if things go according to plan we will remain here."

"If we can't get a deal done, I'm afraid it's probably our last season in Motown."
