EDMONTON (AP) - Twenty-four year old first baseman Jimmy Snyder made Edmonton Orcas history as he hit four home runs in four consecutive days. His first came in the seventh inning at Dragon Field in Hong Kong, tying the game with a solo shot. The Orcas would lose the game as both starters went into extra innings. Snyder wasted no time at home against the Sicily Godfathers, crushing another solo home run 492 feet in the second inning, contributing to the winning effort. Again against the Godfathers', Snyder went opposite field in the first inning, driving in left fielder Trot Nixon. This time, it would not be enough against Sicily. His last homer, in a loss to the Cairo Scorpions, was still impressive as the solo shot hit the Seadome Restaurant's glass facing on the upper panels.

"I can't believe that's the record," remarked a surprised Coach Yount. "What, with Mel (Ott) and H.R. (Henry Rodriguez) on this team? They had alot more power. Jimmy's more of a line-drive hitter. But heck, good for him."
