DETROIT (AP) - The future of the Motown Miracles was placed in serious jeapordy today as the vote to build the team a new stadium was rejected, with 63% of voters saying NO to the proposal.

"We just don't care anymore", said one voter as he was leaving a polling station in Brush Park. "The team sucks, and the team has sucked ever since they came here. They're pathetic. If they're going to whine and cry because we, the people of Detroit, aren't going to build them a new stadium - then too bad. They can go back to Mexico for all we care."

GM Cory Muzyka was said to be very disappointed with the results of the vote, but would not comment on the team's future in Detroit.

"At this time, we're trying to figure out where this leaves us. We had hoped that this proposal would pass, and we could stay. Unfortunately it hasn't, and we're stuck here in Mojo Stadium for another money-losing season. That's all I can say on that matter at the moment."
