LOS ANGELES (AP) - In stunning news today, it was announced the Los Angeles Riots will name San Francisco as the new home of their AAA farmclub. The team will move from it's current home in Compton, California because it was said the team's nickname portrayed the community in a poor way. With the move to San Francisco the team will change it's name from the Compton Crooks to the San Francisco Hippies.

"Now I know that there is supposed to be this great huge bundle of a rivalry between these two cities," proclaimed team owner Travis Burnett during an interview, "but I can see no reason as to why we cannot join forces and produce great baseball players to further the success of this franchise. This AAA ballclub of ours accomplished nothing while it was in Compton. I have high hope that a nice change of scenery will get things turned around."

A nice change of scenery, indeed. The new San Franisco Hippies are sure to enjoy their stay in the beautiful San Francisco Bay Area rather than the violent streets of Compton.

"I can't believe they even had a team there," spoke one GM who asked to remain anonymous, "There were fights and drug deals. It was mayhem."

The team will now hold the dubious distinction of being known as the Hippies. "We expect the atmosphere at the new stadium to be utopic. It's going to be nothing but peace, love, and happiness....and victories!"

The move will happen during the All-Star break.

Below the AAA San Francisco Hippies, the Riots are naming a Low ballclub after years of sending rookies to the practice squad. Players in the LOW minors will now be assigned to the team's newest franchise in Anchorage, Alaska, known as the North Country Backwoodsmen. Team owner Travis Burnett had the following to say on his new club, "We've been planning this move for some time now. It was all about getting the details ironed out. The city of Anchorage is very attractive to us since it is a secluded market and they want baseball. The product isn't there just yet, but we have a brand-new ballpark that will seat 10,000. I think the locals will find minor-league baseball to be very exciting."

With these moves, the Riots are taking strides to improve a minor-league system that has been perhaps the least productive in the entire league. When asked about the reason for the team's consistant lack of youth, GM O.J. Simpson only had this to say, "I didn't do it."

Well, at least it's obvious he didn't do anything-considering the team's bare bones minor leagus system. Team Manager Rodney King expressed his usual bitterness towards O.J., "I hate that sonuvabitch! Wish he'd get beat down the same way I did. Least he'd deserve it."
