be in the thick of things in the Lockwood Division
race. |

KONG |
They're
hoping to bounce back from their heartbreaking finish
in 2009 to take down Belfast, but after losing Sandy
Koufax to retirement they'll have their work cut
out for them. |

After
stumbling a bit in the first half last season they
came on strong and ended up in the Weaver Series.
They're not getting any younger but they've got
plenty in the tank to stay at the top this year. |

As
always they'll be a good team this year, although
Long Beach will probably be tough to catch. |

The
Capys lost half of their starting rotation to retirements
in the offseason, and management has decided that
it's time to retool. They've still got a powerful
lineup, but by the end of the season many of their
current players could be playing for new teams. |

Last
season Cairo looked like they might shock the Weaver
world, but they cooled considerably in the second
half and finished a distant third in the Barnes
Division. They're gearing up for another run this
season. |

When
all is said and done Sendai Ashikaga may be remembered
as the greatest player in the history of the Weaver
League. |

SICILY |
They
added by subtraction last season, dealing Christy
Matthewson to Long Beach for a group of talented
players. And when Matthewson ended up retiring they
ended up with a new ace... new all-timer Ed Walsh.

The
free agent signing of Shawn Green and the addition
of All-Timer Al Rosen should inject some much needed
life into their lineup. |

IF
this injury prone team can keep their stars healthy
for a full season they could challenge Amity. That's

With
William Upshaw Jr. at second base and Nathan Frias
at shortstop they've got the best middle infield
in the Inferno league. |

DUBLIN |
Their
nickname is Disaster, but things should be much
better than last season. Babe Ruth signed as a free
agent and they added Kris Kotsopalous, Brian Anderson,
and Gabe White in trades. |

Lefty
Grove has joined the Mutants, who hope that he
adds some stability to a pitching staff that has
been consistently bad throughout the history of
the franchise.

At
this time last season they had five All-Timers on
their roster. They have five less this season. |

youth movement is going as planned. Results are
still at least a few years away, but for the time
being fans are excited to have new All-Timer George
Sisler on their roster. |

You
would think the fans of the Rastas wouldn't be too
happy about management trading third baseman Kris
Kotsopalous... but most of them were too stoned
to notice. |

city, new nickname, even a new All-Timer. The results
will probably be the same though. |

They

won 18 games in 2008... and managed to do WORSE
in 2009! Todd Walker has got to be the greediest
player in the history of sports to leave the Bombers
for this team! I imagine they might do better
this year, but for now they're taking their familiar
spot at the bottom of the Power Rankings.
